There seems to be a problem with Dodge Customers Relations Department. I called them and ask if there was a recall on the Dodge Neon from years 2000-2005, for there coolant system meaning the radiator blew out causing transmission fluid to gush out and the fluids mixing together, which in turn meant a replacement of the radiator and
several flushes of the transmission fluid. They said they had never heard of it before. I talked to a mechanic and he said my transmission may also have to be replaced. I have
a 2005 Piece of sh*t Dodge Neon. I have had some problems with this car. And by reading and talking to some people I know this a ONGOING PROBLEM that does not seem to be getting any attention or investigation at all. I think there should be a recall on this.

I have had the same problem as others with my daughter's 2005 Dodge Neon SXT. The radiator leaked into the transmission and now the transmission is toast. I was able to find a used transmission at a salvage yard and have a relative put in the transmission, otherwise the cost would have been much higher for a re-manufactured transmission or a rebuild. This is a pretty stupid design flaw which should have been recalled on these cars a long time ago.
