The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that on several occasions, the horn activated independently of driver input. The contact also stated that the vehicle experienced several other unknown electrical failures. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 144,672.
