The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that she was involved in a crash while driving approximately 30 mph. When the air bags deployed, the Dodge emblem on the steering wheel was shot outward and lodged itself into the passenger side door panel. The contact expressed concern about how forceful the emblem was shot off from the steering wheel. The vehicle was towed to a towing yard. The vehicle was not examined for the cause of failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileages were 70,000.
