My headlights unknowingly stopped working on a Monday. My running lights and bright lights worked for about a day before both my high beams and regular lights completely stopped coming on at all. My car was in the shop from Thursday to the following Tuesday while they tested my TIPM and tried to figure out the issue. Fortunately, the Mechanic that fixed my truck had a loaner vehicle for me to use otherwise I would've been without a car until mine was fixed.I've seen recalls for the same problem on 2007 Dodge Nitros and other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep vehicles. When I questioned the Dealer regarding the issue they said that because my Nitro was a 2008 that the problem should've been resolved and there are no open recalls for my year! This is beyond frustrating and terribly expensive! Not to mention the fact that I didn't even realize my headlights weren't working at first. I turned my brights off as a semi was passing me on a 2 lane highway when he flashed his high beams at me twice. I just assumed he thought my high beams were on as well. Turns out I had no head lights on at all and only my high beams were working that day.
