caliper failed causing brakes to seize up and sensor to fail

I purchased this automobile exactly one month ago today (5/3/16). Got a great deal on the car. A 2011 with only 25600 miles. it now has 26600 miles. Yesterday, on my way to work, the right front wheel seized on me and white smoke began billowing out from under my right fender well. I just happened to be within, literally, a few feet of my dealership service center, and immediately pulled in once the wheel released enough for me to drive it in. As I was pulling it up to the door to the service center, my brake pad pressed all the way to the floor board, and I had to pump it quickly to get it stopped. I certainly did not expect a car with only 26600 miles on it to do this. Having only owned the SUV exactly one month, I am a bit... unnerved... by the whole incident. I have bought Chrysler products for quite some time, with my last being Jeeps. I trust this will not be an ongoing problem vehicle.
