The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that the headlights remained bright while the vehicle was off the vehicle overheated while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was caused by a wiring error in the vehicle. The dealer also stated that it was a manufacturing defect and there was no recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 61,500.
