Was told by a certified dealer I must be running poor gasoline and they would be running Seafoam thru it to clean it out, ha, ha! I nicely told them this isn't the first vehicle I've owned and this was bull, but what choice did I have, only Dodge repair shop in the area. Needless to say, the very next day after the"cleanout" I limped back into the dealer ship on 5 cylinders. Resulted in 3 weeks without a car when the engine had to be rebuilt, required at 20k miles. It all started with a progressively worsening engine knock that on previous visit the mechanic said he couldn't hear.

The "check engine" light continues to stay on. I have had my mechanic turn it off and it stays off for a short while and then comes back on. The gas cap screw on threads stripped and I had to buy a new gas cap. The light still stays on. How am I supposed to know if it is the engine or just the annoying light?

At 12,900 miles the engine light came on. Dealership determined the EGR Valve was bad and replaced. Service person told me it was unusual for this part to become defective so soon.

Dropped a valve, burnt a piston, fouled a plug... I had to pay to have all but one plug replaced on the rebuild PLUS I had to pay for oil change on an engine rebuild.
