I own a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 which I purchased new in November of 1998. In 2003 the dash board started cracking, and it now looks like a jigsaw puzzle. Chrysler said that it was not covered since the warranty was up. Every Dodge Ram from 98-01 that I have looked at has the same problem. I also had the roof of the truck repainted at hill-kelly Dodge in pensacola fl in 2004 because it was peeling. The clear coat is now coming off of the roof, and the dealership that painted it said that they could not help me since it was over three years ago. If you could please give me some advice, I would be very grateful. Thank you

Dash board is cracking all over. It just started a few months ago and is getting worst. My truck is in show condition and this really bites. I think Dodge should fix this problem with a recall. I don't think my airbag will work because the housing it seats into is cracked too.

I own a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. This past summer the dash board just started cracking and the dash board pieces are falling out constantly. I now have only a partial dashboard left with holes in it big enough to put your hands through. Even while I am driving, smaller pieces will pop off the dash and shoot at me. I am reading complaints all over the internet regarding the exact same thing, O I know it's not a problem unique to me.

1999 Dodge laramie 1500 quad 4X4. Dash has cracked and broke into pieces and fallen into dash wiring harnesses. Currently has only affected the front speakers. Concerns about the airbag and headlamp wires located in the same area.

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with 64,000 miles. Just recently I have noticed that the dash developed a crack that grew in length on the drivers side. Now there is a nother crack on the passenger side of the truck. The crack on the drivers side goes from the windshield all the way to the top of the dash. The other one isn't that big but it is starting to get bigger.

My 1999 Dodge Ram truck 1500 began getting cracks on the dash in 2006. I reported it and was told there is not anything that can be done since it is not a recalled part. An person can and will be seriously injured from the sharp edges and debris from these manufacturing flawed dashboards. Possibility of the passenger airbag failing due to being cut by failed dashboard. This is a safety issue!!
