The dealer was unable to confirm when the parts would be supplied. The manufacturer was unable to provide a reasonable time frame to supply the part to the dealer. The NHTSA campaign number was unknown. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Takata recall. We received a notice from fiatchrysler automobiles on or about October of 2014 notifying us of our defective airbag and the necessary replacement. We have contacted them and our local dealer, tanner motors, brained mn. As to when this airbag replacement will be performed. We have been told the new bags are currently not available. There has been no response to these numerous calls we have made. We get the same run around. The new airbags are back ordered. How long must I drive around with this potentially dangerous condition" who is going to be held responsible if someone gets hurt due to this delay? there appears to be an intentional foot dragging by whoever is bearing the cost in this replacement. What is our government doing to motivate these people to perform the needed repair" I am currently limiting my usage of this vehicle because of the danger it poses. Takata recall I received my first recall notice in February 2015 and received three notices before I could get an appointment with air bag inflator in stock. I drove about 80 miles to the dealer only to be told they no longer had them in stock and they had written my phone number wrong so that was a wasted trip. Then I finally got another appointment and after being at the dealer about 30 minutes and was told they did not have the inflator for my truck and none had been released yet that fit my truck. That was another 160 mile round trip wasted. This has been over a year of waiting to have my vehicle repaired. When are the inflators for a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 going to be available?
