dash cracked and crumbling

Cheap plastic dash (cracks, separated) know issue affecting hundreds of thousands of Dodge Rams and I'm certain other models. Definitely a safety concern, because if in an accident these pieces can cause DEATH ☠️.

this is my third 2nd Generation Dodge Ram and everyone of them busted and is bull crap. Last one pieces flew out of the defroster vents and hit me in the face. They are faulty and they know it. My brother bought a new 2001 Ram 3500 Cummins and it sat in the garage all the time and it is busted all to sh*t. Only had 20000 when it busted. Father in law has a 1997 3500 and it busted so bad and pieces were flying in his face that now he has towels thrown up on his dash.

Here is my dash on my 1994 Ram 2500. The problem does go further back than 1998.

Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins

  • Manual transmission

The top of the dashboard is all to pieces. The rattling is a distraction and very irritating. Flying sharp pieces would be a danger in any minor accident or just hitting a bad bump. The dealer wants $647 for a replacement which is ridiculous since the part was defective from the factory.

Ram 2500 HD 8.0L V10

Originally the upper part of the dash split. I went to replace it with a new topcap. The whole dash started crumbling apart. I went to dodge and ordered a new dash...2 weeks after I ordered it I got a call and told it was on back order for a month...1 month turned into 2 and 2 into 4. Finally they got one in but told me my price had gone from 425$ to 1250$. Some how my completely paid for dash became a deposit on a dash and I could not afford it so I asked for my money back. My Dash still has dangerous metal bars showing and looks horrible...my once great looking truck is now the butt of peoples jokes and they make comments like....see thats why you don't buy a dodge. Dodge you have known about this for awhile..why haven't you helped your customers yet so you guys don't look like a joke?
