Peeling paint. Left front fender and hood at this time, although, I've been told it will continue to other areas. My saftey concern is that the paint could de-laminate in the areas where the windshield is held to the body by adhesive, allowing the windshield to separate from the vehicle in a crash.

While driving and when brakes were applied they did not hold, pedal went all the way to the floor, consumer stated the vehicle coasted through a red light through a busy intersection, this was caused by a hole in the brake line, which was the result of the way the brake line was assembled.. consumer stated the 4X4 did not work, the tire blew out, there was a water leak and the carpet had to be replaced twice, the rear window was replaced, the rear brakes never worked, the radio was inoperative, the hood light flickered while driving, and also vehicle experienced transmission problems.

Windshield will pop and crack will form from side or bottom center of windshield as if under pressure.

I was watering my lawn on sun. Aug 6..temp outside was approx. 78 degrees..inside temp of my truck was approx. 85 degrees ( windows down). The water from the hose sprayed my windshield for approx. 5 seconds, when all of a sudden I heard a crack. My windshield cracked at eye level from the drivers side, then proceeded to the top of the windshield in the centre, then back down on the passenger side ( total crack approx. 2 -3 feet in length). The windshield had no visible cracks or fractures to attribute to this problem. I did notice in your reports from others..someone report a windshiel defect on July 6/00. Two chrylser dealerships says it happens due to sudden temp. Changes..I am not satisfied with this answer or the possiblilty of it happening to a replacement windshield ??

Was driving at approximately 40-45 mph when driver was blinded by sun which caused consumer to run off road hit 6 foot wall sand bank. Driver's airbag did not deploy, causing the driver to hit windshield. Airbag never came on to indicate that there was a problem with it. Manufactuer has been contacted.
