This is a recurring issue. Dealership said it was "multi function switch" which to you and me is the turn signal switch. Nope. Was actually the light switch itself. I asked if there was a relay or breaker and the dealership said "nope." Wrong. Switch has a thermal breaker in it that resets when it cools down, hence the cycling on and off.
By time independent mechanic shop found REAL problem the wiring had burned 9-inches up and nearly into main harness.
Replacing switch fixed it for about 9 months then it did it again. will make second complaint. Same fix, same result and now I just live with no high beams until I can take the time to rig up a relay to take load off the stupid switch.
Chrysler has a recall but my truck does not qualify due to vin. friggin' stupid!
