My '98 Ram2500 has had the DEATH WOBBLE fixed twice and now needs it again. As any of you that have experienced this know, THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS!!! Thank every lucky star every time it has occurred traffic was light and I was able to get to the shoulder of the road. As someone else mentioned, 50mph seems to be the kick off speed and any bump or pothole in the road. The EXTREME and violent shaking of the entire front end, cab and contents make it impossible to control the steering. Light, firm application of the breaks and a handy shoulder to pull off on are required. I'm still shaking...and now have to fix it. Someone else fixed it for me the other 2 times and I don't know what was done :( Any help out there?
