Brake pedal moves side to side when applying the brake. The vehicle has power adjustable brake and accelerator pedals. First noticed slight movement while driving and is now about half to three quarters of an inch play.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. While driving approximately 80 mph, the vehicle vibrated abnormally. Within seconds, a loud noise was heard under the vehicle. The driver was able to coast onto the road shoulder and found unknown parts had separated from the vehicle while driving. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transfer case, constant velocity joint, universal joint, fuel lines, and brakes lines failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 270,000.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a construction site. The driver suffered a neck injury and the front passenger suffered a fractured sternum and injuries to the right foot and left lung. Medical assistance was required and a police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 137,000.

In addition, the engine rmps increased to 2000. The brake pedal was engaged with both feet in order to stop the vehicle. The failure recurred whenever the vehicle was operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer but had not been repaired or diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
