The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 mega cab. The contact stated while driving 30 mph the electronic throttle control light on the instrument panel illuminated randomly causing the speed to decrease. As the accelerator was being depressed, the vehicle speed failed to increase and eventually it would stall. Occasionally, if the engine was turned off and on the vehicle would restart within a couple minutes and sometimes it would take longer. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated the failure was caused by the accelerator pedal which was replaced at least six times but the failure continued to occur. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 92,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The consumer stated the problem started a year ago with the turbo, and the check engine light coming on. Also the accelerator would open up to full throttle without any control, unless he cut the engine off. At times the gas pedal would not move at all. The rear brakes locked up and the ABS failed. The vehicle pulled to the right, due to the alignment being out of specification. The failure mileage was 12,000 and current mileage was 22,400. Updated 04-28-09 the transmission would not go into overdrive. There were times when the vehicle had to hunt for gears and the indicator would disappear on the dash. Updated 04/29/09.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. While driving 2 mph, the vehicle lurched forward and the contact was unable to increase the vehicle speed. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle would surge forward while in neutral. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. Approximately three days later the dealer cleaned the map sensors however, the failure continued to occur. Approximately, 3 days later the dealer stated that the ECM and ccn caused the failure. They installed a boot loader and updated the ccn; however, the failure continued to occur. As of April 17, 2008, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 1,347 and current mileage was 2,616.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. While driving into a parking space, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to approximately 50 mph. The vehicle crashed into a wall and the air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The air bags burned the contact's stomach, nose and she also sustained ankle injuries. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure; however, they made repairs. The current mileage was 19,000 and failure mileage was 18,500. Updated 01/17/08 updated
