Left tie rod ball stud fractured while making a sharp left hand turn in a parking lot. This item was replaced by Chrysler approximately two years prior under a recall. I towed the truck to autoworld Dodge - petaluma (Chrysler dealership) for repair. They insisted the broken part was out of warranty and was my responsibility to repair. I had no choice but to have them make the repairs at my expense. This failure was a clearly known problem, but they would not stand behind their product. Is there any recourse for their failure to comply with an obviously recalled part (NHTSA campaign id #11V350000, action #PE11009)?
