About 4am I started out to go to work in a snow storm. I remove snow for a living in the winter months. I got stuck in the snow on the road and proceeded to shovel my way out. 8 hrs. Later a friend happened by and towed me back home. I was wet cold tired and hungry. The truck failed to heat the interior. I later had taken it to the dealership to be inspected under warranty. They sent me home stating they found no problems even though the heating & cooling did not work. No work order was given, because no work had been preformed, but still I had to pay out of pocket for them to inspect truck.

I took her to another shop. They had her for 3 days, put cardboard under truck and sent it back to me stating they could not find any leaks externally and advised I get a new water pump. I took it to another shop and replaced the pump. Still no heating/cooling. A few weeks later I ran the truck and it started overheating again. I shut it off for an hour and she wouldn't start. I had it towed. The dealer said it would cost me $3500 for tear down & $3500 to put back together weather they find a problem or not.

They procrastinated until the warranty ran out and no work order. This is a story of first and last time I've taken her in. There were many times in between the truck had been towed for the same reason. Dealers gave me many reasons (all different) of why they can't fix it under warranty. All my fault of course. So now she sits with only 27,901 miles on her. I shouldn't have to pay all these out of pocket expenses to fix a brand new truck! The times I did get work orders they're statements of my complaints were completely different than what I brought it in for.

There's a lot more to the story, but I'm just trying to get a basic point across. I got a lemon and I wasn't taken care of. A $98,000 truck that is now a big paperweight. After 2 Dodges with the same problems, I bought a Ford.

well it actually occured about at 20,000 mi. i took it to a shop who couldnt figure out what the problem was. so i parked it. 1 1/2 yrs. later i tokk her for a spin, after changing oil, filters, etc. no problem til i ran her another 4, 000 mi. overheating.. no ck engine lite. hmmmm. guess what NO COOLANT! where'de it go? NO LEAKS! it was pouring out my exaust! so being still under warranty, i took her in. THEY WONT HONOR THE WARRANTY, cause i didnt keep my store receipts from oil and filters purchases. DODGE is a pice of work! The dealership wants 4 grand JUST FOR TEAR DOWN! CRAZY! guess im doing my own work again. 2 dodge rams 2500 4x4 diesels, totaling 130 grand (an 05, and 08) and only 130,000 mi. between them and im cant go to work cause i dont have a reliable vehicle! this is the 8th time the 2008 has been down with not even 30,000 on it. IM PISSED! ive got to get rid of it before the tranny goes... i know thats next because it's following the same path as the 2005 ( that is now on it's 3RD tranny in 102,000 mi.) dodge has never honored their warranty's. they always find a way to blame another cause for the failer therefore making their customers pay 'out of pocket' for anything, even if they dont touch it i've had to pay cause it's there! Porterville cjd is the worst, worst, WORST, especially getting anything done! I'll NEVER buy another dodge! too many NIGHTMARES!
