Ram 3500 4WD 6-cyl Diesel

  • Manual transmission
  • 38,000 miles
I purchased my truck in May 2006, since I bought the truck it has had a vibration on start ie from stop when I start moving the truck has a vibration. I am now on the third rear drive shaft assembly in my truck at 65K miles. Also have had to replace a blown front hub that separated at 60K miles with no previous problems or warning. Have had over 3K worth of electrical work done at dealership including PCM, wiring harness, fca, injection pump and so forth and so on. Still have tons of electrical issues with truck. And now at 66K miles the fuel sending unit has gone out for the second time.

Ram 3500 4WD 6-cyl Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,000 miles
Noticed a vibration when reaching speeds over 72 miles per hour. Contacted local dealer regarding problem. The first time the truck was in for service the local dealer decided to put in a new drive line and aligned it. After this service the vibration still existed. Soon after the truck stalled in the middle of a very busy highway due to a malfunctioning fuel injector pump. I believe this was caused by the ever present vibration. Second time local dealer saw the truck they replaced the fuel injector pump and tried to re-align to fix the vibration. This still didn't solve the vibration. A review of the complaints on this site it appears that this is a nation wide problem and defect in this truck.

Vibration in the drivetrain at high speeds, starting at about 72 miles per hour. 6 attempts of balancing drive train and wheels have not solved the problem. Vibration is enough to numb hands and feet and distort the rear view mirror images.
