While driving at about 60 mph, I hit a minor bump in the roadway the steering wheel started shaking side to side and the truck started shaking violently. The only way it stopped was to reduce my speed, while I was in a merging express lane and I was in front of a semi truck with a full load. I had to put on flashers and drop speed to 30 mph to regain control of steering. I think this problem should be investigated as some one is going to get killed by this happening to them. I had my wife with me. It was a very scary and dangerous situation. - 2005 Dodge 3500 Ram Laramie owner / Eagle Creek, OR

Hit a small bump in the road...truck began to shake violently and had to stop to get the wobble to stop. It has happened three more times since then. Took it to the dealer and they have no recalls or advisories.
This is a major danger and now I don't drive the truck more than 55 mph and that is with both hands on the wheel and won't let anyone ride with me. It's very hard to handle when this happens and I am a fairly strong man...a farmer and cattleman. Found a kit online to firm up the steering box and rods but am getting really pissed because of Dodge's responses.
These are the same people who couldn't find a hole in the turbo...but charged me for two days of computer diagnostics. (The problem light for low turbo boost kept coming on and the truck would loose power and couldn't pass a school bus.) Just about done with Dodge...wonder why the Japanese and Chinese have taken over the country? When it finally goes out of total control and me or one of the people I love gets hurt because of Dodges refusal to recognize and address this obvious design issue, I'm gonna retire. Sorry but am totally pissed off right now.
When it happened today I was in front of the county sheriff...he had to turn his lights on for me to get off the road. He couldn't believe what I told him so let him drive it and run over the same bump (a manhole cover)...and it happened again to him. Gonna go to the dealer tomorrow and ask the owner to drive it and tell me that nothing is wrong...pig-f***ers. Again, apologize for the anger but I paid a lot of hard earned money for this truck.
