In 2007, we began contacting Victorville Motors where we bought our 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 about the signal lights on the truck intermittently signaling in the wrong direction. The service dept. could not locate any problem and said there was no recall or problem on record. The problem continued to be evident.
On January 14, 2011, we called Chrysler to ask if there was any recall related to the signal lights. We learned that Chrysler has (X20) function Switch D-09-16 extended warranty for the dealers to replace the multifunction switches on the steering column to correct the problem. At Victorville Motors, the service manager argued with my husband that he did not know what he was talking about and continued until my husband showed her the notepad with the information written. Next, the manager claimed that there would be a $100.00 deductible, if they fulfilled the warranty. After I called Chrysler again to verify that there was no deductible, the service manager told us that until her technicians see the malfunction, they will not replace the switch even though intermittent problems may never occur while a vehicle is at the service department.
We called back to Chrysler and the representative told us there is nothing that can be done unless NHTSA issues a recall. We believe that the service manager was embarrassed that we knew enough information to challenge her. Chrysler suggested that we go to another service department, but, this is the dealership where we paid cash for our new truck in 2006.

So I had United Dodge install a Jacobs break on my truck when I bought it brand new. They are no longer in business I had the Jacobs break taken off and instead of them wiring it to the dedicated spot on the TIPM they spliced into some other wire under the TIPM. After the Jack break was removed now my left rear turn signal has now power to it and my right reveres light has no power and my left rear door wont lock. I checked all fuses. I ordered a new rear light circuit board that did not work $20.00 then I bought a new switch $80.00 that didn't work. So I am left to believe it’s the TIPM seeing how my jack break was not wired in correctly from the dealership. I hope there is some kind of recall to fix this because I don't have $1200 to fix it and really don't need a ticket for Inoperable parts on my truck.
