Rough idle, poor mileage and less power. checked injectors due to issues with lines as well. Injector 4 is an ass. Once fixed all is righteous. Important to use the brackets that brace the injector feed lines!!! They have purpose use them!!

Standard problem with 5.9 cumins. number 4 injector tube cracks spewing high pressure diesel all over hot engine. lucky I caught mine before it started a fire . No recall but dealer has ten of them in stock because they fail very often

The problem with the injectors is actually the injectors at all. Its the second rate filter system dodge has and dirty fuel. I understand that dirt caused the defects but i also know that if the filter system was any good there would not have been a problem. I installed an aftermarket fuel filter system after i put the third set of injectors in the truck and havent had any trouble yet. I did change my filters more often than the owners manual required and still had this problem. Dodge dont seem to realize that diesel is by nature dirtier than gasoline when they decided to go with the fuel filter system they used on these trucks. I dont usually advertise for companies but, the XX fuel filter system i installed on my truck seems to be doing the trick. A bit pricey at near $300 but far cheaper than the 3 sets of injectors that i paid for. And no Dodge wouldnt warranty mine either. But it is a Dodge problem, not with the injectors but with the cheap filter system on the trucks. I have owned Chrysler products since 1991 three of which were trucks with the cummings engine.

Since this problem I have bought another car and it WASNT a Dodge. And the reason it wasnt a Dodge was the problem i had trying to get warranty work taken care of. Reguardless of the fact that i had contaminated fuel they should have been held responsible for the cheap filter system they used. Again i say diesel is naturally a dirty fuel and they should have expected it. Before the Cummings engine came out I was a Ford owner Now I am a proud Ford owner and happy again. I had about forgotten the quality of the Ford untill I bought the last one. Thanks for reminding me Dodge.

Engine running rough for 40 000km had truck at dealership 5 times and got the the same b.s. " cannot replicate problem" from the morons at the service counter.

Now at 106k it barely runs, took it to local dealer and they tell me engine has massive blow by past rings. Ends up dodge denies me warranty because they claim I dusted the motor!! Funny how dust can get past the stock filter and they accept no responability.

So I get bent over for a truck that cost 60k that needs a new engine at 106 000km to the tune of $11 000. Then the dipshit from the stealership calls and chuckles telling me it ended up having 2 bad injectors after all. Which big surprise i get stuck with because dodge voided the entire engine warranty!!!!

I now have made it a mission to tell everyone i can about dodges warranty or lack there of. Do your self a favour and drive past the dodge/chrysler dealership fast and do not even entertain the idea of buying their junk....you will regret it trust me...
