Ram 3500 4WD 6-cyl

  • 67,000 miles
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 megacab 4X4. When driving at speeds of excess of 50 mph, if the truck hits a dip in the road, it shakes violently and looses all control. We had the steering stabilizers replaced 1 month into owning the vehicle, but the problem still remains. When calling Dodge to ask about the problem they hang up on us and say they cannot talk to us about the problem.

2006 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel, inspected and ball joints failed. Took to dealer and dealer said that the ball joints were with in Chrysler tolerances and would not replace them under warranty. State inspection station said they would not pass my vehicle. Dealer said that they would pass my vehicle. (what is legal)

Ram 3500

  • 50,000 miles
My 2006 Dodge 3500 truck experiences sudden, violent, uncontrollable front end shaking at speeds above 55 mph. This is brought on when I hit a bump, dip, frost heave, or cross a bridge overpass where the road surface is uneven with the overpass surface. When this occurs, it will not stop until the vehicle is slowed to below 25 mph. I have very little control with steering and can only stab the brakes and hold the steering wheel until I reach a lower speed and the shaking stops. This can happen at normal highway speed from 55 mph up to 75 mph. This shaking is not just mild wheelhop, it is quite "violent". items on the seats are thrown around, my glove box shakes open, things stored in the dash pockets are tossed around. All you can do is grip the steering wheel tightly, hold on, and hope to keep the truck between the lines. I have narrowly avoided a collision on a number of occasions. This has been going on for sometime since around 60K miles, I now have 140K miles on the truck. New tires, shocks, alignments, nothing helps. The only response from the Dodge dealer was check my tire pressure and steering stabilizer. Me research on the internet has revealed that this problem spans several years of Dodge trucks, not just 06 models. There are hundreds of comments and complaints on websites. All one has to do is google "Dodge truck death wobble". I was not able to find one single Dodge dealer provided remedy. It is only a matter of time before someone is killed in an accident because the vehicle is literally out of control. Please check into this.

Ram 3500

  • 60,000 miles
2006 Dodge Ram 3500 mega cab. At speeds of 65 mph - 80 mph the truck shakes violently. This happens every time you reach these speeds. The shake is so bad that it causes you to leave your lane of the road. Chrysler says there is not a problem. But it is severe enough to cause a crash. When this happens it puts the driver out of control.
