Ram 3500

  • Manual transmission
  • 60,000 miles

It is still not fixed. I need an answer. It's a beautiful truck to look at, you just can't drive it. You hit a bump and it shakes so bad my wife thinks we will die from it. We got pulled over one of the times it was happening and the officer said it look like the tires were going to fly right off and the front end was going to hit the pavement. Is there a recall or anything out there for this truck. Please help? Sincerely scared wife!!

Extremely dangerous, truck steering wheel shakes violently. You can't put on brakes, it makes it worse. You have to decelerate to a low speed before it stops. Dodge needs to correct this issue.

Ram 3500 SLE 6.7L 3500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

The truck shakes violently if I hit a bump at highway speeds. I have to slow down to about 35 to 40 mph to get it to stop. It started doing it at about 125000 miles. It is very hard to control when this happens. I bought the 3500 new so I would have a heavier duty truck. I don"t use it as the work horse it should be. I"m scared it is going to make me crash and hurt me and my family or someone else. I would really like to know what the fix is for this problem before someone gets hurt.

Ram 3500 Lone Star 6.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 132,000 miles

This truck was purchased brand new with the intent it would last for more than 132,000 miles before any major repairs would be needed. The vehicle has always been maintained dutifully, this issue has caused major hardships for us as we are on a fixed income; if Dodge was aware of the defects of these parts, they should be responsible enough to assist with the cost of repairs. The "death wobble", as it has been termed, can cause many drivers to lose control and crash; the wobble is so violent that many can easily lose control and either collide with an object or another vehicle which may ultimately cause a life to be lost. This "wobble" is not like a mild shake where one may just need new tires or an alignment, it is a violent shaking where the entire front end shakes making it seem you are driving during an earthquake. At this point, I will no longer be looking to purchase a Dodge product, but will look for a vehicle from another manufacturer. Please add this complaint to the current list.

I was driving down the road going about 60mph and was coming over the over pass and hit the expansion joint in the road. I just replaced the shocks and other suspension components. The driver side front wheel started bouncing uncontrollability, it was everything I could do to keep it on the road. I had to completely stop on the shoulder before it would stop bouncing. Have replaced all the steering parts and suspension components. If I had have been pulling a trailer that was loaded, I would have not been able to keep it on the road.

Ram 3500 5.9L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,168 miles

I cannot believe they have the nerve not to do a recall that fixes this issue on all the trucks that were built/manufactured in the said time frames. This rattle snakes my truck so violently that I have to slow down to almost a complete stop for it to stop. It scared my wife so much that she is considering not to ride in the truck any more. This is even worse when I am towing my 31-foot trailer. When I hit a bump it even rattles my trailer.

Ram 3500 SLT 5.9L Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 135,000 miles

The death wobble has been occurring on my 2007 Dodge 3500 for years. I recently had the front end replaced with the new parts recommended by Dodge. It continues to happen. It is very dangerous to drive. It doesn't help that I pull heavy trailers all the time with it. It is very hard to control with the added weight. I fear that I will have a major wreck one day because of the death wobble.

Ram 3500 5.9L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,000 miles

This 2007 Ram 3500 has 29K on it. The death wobble began at 60 MPH on a bridge. I almost went into the guard rail before I got it stopped. I contacted Dodge and they sent me to the dealer to get a #46 and #62 recall. The dealer ( Gresham Dodge of Gresham Ore) said that my truck was with in spec and to repair was not needed. I called Dodge again and the Recall center (Kyle) said he could not help and that the dealer said it was ok. After expressing my concern that if this happens when my daughter is driving and she has a crash, I will be talking to the dealer and Dodge thru my attorneys. He then recommended I take it to another dealer.

i find it f*cking bullshit that I can't even hit the smallest bump in the road at highway speeds without my whole truck violently shaking. How f*cking hard is it to build a front end that actually works?

Ram 3500 Laramie 5.9L

It's now Jan 10, 2014 and I've spent nearly $4000.00 on repairs etc to resolve the death wobble just on one of my 3500' s. I keep taking it in for recalls and service to find out what the blankety blank is going on. The parts changers at the dealers have no clue, but a plethora of opinions, and no solution to the problem source. Was traveling yesterday doing 75 mph on Interstate 15 when the wobble started and the drag link snapped in half. I'm not reporting from heaven thankfully. May 03, 2013 the pitman arm snapped in half while backing up. I've replaced the steering kit twice, the steering damper four times and am about ready to air drop this pile of sh&@ on Chryslers front door. I no longer allow my wife or kids to drive either of my dodge diesel 3500 's. They are a death waiting to happen. Because of the death wobble on both vehicles I am chucking Dodge for good after 30 years of loyalty. The best thing about the dodge truck is the Cummins engine, a Ford product. Go figure. I'm going Toyota, at least they are dependable and safe for the family to drive and stay alive. Thanks Dodge, yours truly.........A one time loyal customer
