The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 quad cab. While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed smoke underneath the dashboard. The contact was able to turn off the vehicle. The contact noticed loose wires under the steering wheel where the smoke was located. The contact pulled some wires apart and the smoke stopped. The installation on the wiring was burned. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 160,000.
