I don't understand why Dodge doesn't fix their steering problems in there heavy duty line of trucks. Me and my family were turning a corner going around 15km/h, and all of a sudden my truck bounced and skidded all over the place and it felt like a tire or wheel came off. So me and my son got out and started looking around and found that the tie rod had broke at the left front corner. so the tires were both facing in! Like I could have been going down the highway pulling my 40ft. trailer 110km/h or down a grid road!!!! I could have rolled!! I am just fortunate that I was going only 15km/h! I could have even been doing 60 and caused an accident! Then I know who would be paying for that!!! DODGE! Like this is ridiculous! So I get it towed to the dealer and they put a larger one on and that cost me over $800!!! (cad)

First the universal fell off, now a tie rod end? Less than 25K on the truck. Under warrantly but dealers around here don't fix trucks. Why didn't I stick with fords?

Less than 25K miles and a universal joint went, then a tie rod end, then the other tie rod end just broke off, bent another part in the process. All supposed to be covered by 36K mile warranty, but dealers around here don't know anything about trucks (caught them using a sledge hammer on my driveshaft when the universal went - after 5 days in the shop, got it back and it still wasn't right - they claimed the part was defective but they did it wrong), so I bought patrts and installed them myself. When is Honda or Toyota going to make a diesel pick up?

While towing my 40 foot Fifth wheel, weighing in at about 16 thousand LBS. I just got off the by pass, and went over a set of train tracks, causing my RIGHT front Tie Rod end to completely let go. My Passenger side Front tire turned 90 degrees to my direction of travel and caused the truck to jump several times and push me into the center lane. Luckly I was only doing about 50 Kms at the time. I couldn't imagine what would have happened while cruising at over 100 Kms on the bypass. This was the most Violent and unexpected incident that has ever happened to me, almost killed my Son, my son's friend and myself... Very scary. Dealership makes it sound like their doing me a favour by upgrading the front end with larger components. That's BS. you don't make a upgraded kit for these truck for no reason... this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed to all these trucks. not wait until someone has an accident or dies.
Fix your front ends Dogde before people loose there lives due to a know problem.
