Absolutely Terrible car. If I could put this complaint under every category, I would. I initially bought the car in 2015 with 150,000 miles on it. A friend of mine had one, and I thought it was a pretty cool car. I was in high school at the time and I really needed a new car, as my other car crapped out on me.. I bought it from a "mechanic" who said there was nothing wrong with it. I drove it for 2 days.. 2 DAYS. It started to overheat on me, so I took it in and found out it needed a new thermostat. I replaced the thermostat and after another 3 days, overheating again.. This went on with several repairs over the course of 6 months. Thermostat, thermostat housing, coolant pump, radiator, etc. After all the repairs and numerous times of it overheating, I ripped out the engine and put in a new one. Then the struts started to go bad. Replaced both of those on the front. Then the wheel bearings started going bad. I did those as well as the control arms, because the damn thing couldn't maintain a stable wheel alignment. Now the CV boot is torn on the passenger side, and the wheel bearings are going bad yet again. I am constantly paranoid while driving this car, plus here in STL, stratuses have a really bad reputation so I am constantly getting pulled over and searched for no absolute reason. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
