I bought my '05 Dodge Stratus in November of 2006. In May of 2008 I started seeing a flashing engine light and then my car started driving really spastically. It always ran, it just jerked a bit. I had noticed prior to this that the oil in my car was vanishing. I got the change and two weeks later my car would be short on oil. I have always taken my car to get oil changes as I need it to survive. I forgo many things in order to maintain it. In May 2008, I took it to the dealership and they replaced the head gasket, which was covered by my extended warranty. I paid about $100 for the tune up and replacing the spark plugs. My car has run fine until about five months ago when I started noticing my oil was disappearing again. There was no spill under my car or anything. Now my car is in the shop and they tell me that something is majorly wrong and I need an all new engine and that my REALLY expensive warranty will only cover it if I can prove that I have been getting oil changes for the last three years. My car only has 63,000 miles on it. I am a single mother of two and this car is my life support system. I have gotten many oil changes in the last three years...always on time, but only where I could afford them, so I have to contact so many places to track down proof. No one mentioned that I would need to hold on to these things when I bought the warranty.
Now I find out there is a Class Action Lawsuit against Chrysler for this very problem and I want in. I can not afford to replace this engine. I also can't afford what it will cost me to have the car repossessed and to be strapped with the debt. This is a manufacturer defect and I intend to either have my car replaced or get reparations for the time and money this car has cost me.

Just had this stupid car fixed again and now it's acting up again!! This will be the 3rd time I've fixed this car in the last 6 months and I'm aggravated and fed up!! It's a piece of junk, but it's the only car I have. Plus, I'm still paying on it!! Double Whammy!!
