I get a check engine light on occasion when I need power from my car. So basically, when I step on the gas really hard to climb a hill or go fast, 1 out of 10 times the check engine light turns on and I definitely feel my car lose power. When I checked the engine code, it stated my turbo boost was losing pressure. This problem also only turns on rare occasions. I don't like taking my car in for these issues because I have found that the dealer always charges me to fix the issue and the issue never goes away - but then I can't get my money back because the "issue" that was fixed is something they can say needs repairing. Very frustrating.
