Car was totaled. Thankfully crash happened at really low speed. Unfortunately not only was Fiat totaled but so was the parked car it hit when the steering gave out. It could have been tragic if it had happened on the freeway at high speeds. Sadly it was a lease with only 2 payments left and I am on the hook for the residual since i don't have a car to turn in. Car was at the dealer +5 times the 3 months prior for other issues. Shouldn't they have caught this?
