The consumer received a recall notice to have 1996 Ford Bronco cruise control disconnected. Ford recall #05S28. An additional three-month delay was issued before the repair could take place. The consumer felt that this was irresponsible of Ford.

While driving consumer tried to engage 4-wheel drive, and 4-wheel would not engage, cause unknown. The consumer stated that the dashboard light indicated that the 4 wheel was engaged, but it was not. This defective system could give you a false sense of security if you were to believe the indication light. The consumer was requesting the manufacturer to replace the faulty system at no cost.
