The rear brakes seem to drag and make a loud noise when in reverse. We have taken the car that is sill under Ford warranty to Hertrich Ford dealership in Elkton Maryland. They attempted a -??modification-?? and informed us that Ford Engineers have not come up with a fix yet as many Ford Broncos and Ford Escapes are experiencing the same problem. We asked for the Ford Field Service Engineer for our geographical area to look at the car but no response to our request to date. We asked to speak with Tommy Allen foreman of service at Heirtrich Ford and no response as to date. The dragging sensation and loud noise when the car is in reverse is worse since Heirtrich Ford made the modification to the vehicle. Brakes do not feel right when car is in reverse.

Shocks defective. Shocks to be replaced twice on this vehicle with under 50,000 miles. First replaced at about 20,000 miles. Dealership advised that original shocks and now new replacement shocks leak on inspection. Clearly a defective part. Ford knows about this problem. Ford has put out a -??service message for technicians-?? but why isn-??t there a recall" Second issue is brake issue. Ford has also issued a -??service message for technicians-?? on this issue. They are aware of the issue and customers are waiting 3 months or more for a -??bushing and hardware kit-?? for repair. Issue is detected by loud squealing when the car is backing up in reverse. Why isn-??t this a recall" The dealership is charging for these items that Ford is aware of as problems with their vehicle.

Brakes are sticky. They will stick after coming to a stop, causing the vehicle to jump forward. Also, make an incredibly loud noise after sitting still for a few hours, and moving. The calipers seem to lock up. This is not a one time incident, it-??s all the time!

The brakes have been a problem since I purchased the vehicle new a little over a year ago. They make a loud noise after sitting for too long, plus the calipers seem to "stick". There is a hesitation when I put the vehicle into R or D and have to put my foot on the gas in order for it to "lurch" into movement. I have mentioned this to my dealer service and we informed by them that this is just the way the brakes are on these particular vehicles. If that is indeed the case, then Ford has installed sub-par brakes on all the Bronco Sports.

The brakes are constantly making a horrible noise in reverse. I-??ve been to two dealerships to try and have this fixed. I-??ve also call ford motor co multiple times and just get run around. The dealership can-??t figure out what-??s causing it it-??s been in at least 10times and still no fix it-??s a safety issue and I refuse to transport my grandbabies in it. The dealership will call ford and ford has no idea either how to fix it I-??ve asked for a refund and was denied. I am an unhappy ford owner and I can-??t get ford to help

Vehicle has 14,600 miles on it. After a regular service for an oil change i requested that the Technician look at the brakes due to abnormal noise coming from them. Technician confirmed that the front brake pad are warn down and need to be replaced and that the rotors as well have been worn down and are in need of needing replacement. With the low amount of miles on the car the brake pads and rotors should not need replacing till at least ( my opinion) for a minimum of 30,000 miles. I have contacted for about this issue and they are not willing to replace them although everyone i have spoken to agree that this is an abnormal amount of wear for a car with such low miles and that there is an issue here that is a major safety issue

My truck with dead at a turning light, it's still UNKNOWN what happened. I had 2 people try to give it a boost and it would not turn on, the gears were locked, and it had to be pulled on the tow truck. The brake lights signal was flashing, and the engine light was on the dashboard along with the battery light. I could not get it to turn on and there was no sound to the engine. the radio was working and none of the lights went dim.

Rear brakes moan when reversing at low speed. Has done this since day one. Also the transmission shifts are hard and hangs in sport mode and won-??t shift. It hangs at almost 5k rpms and when I let off the gas no shift till 2300 rpms. Took it in and they looked at the transmission fluid said it was darker than usual for the mileage (14,000) and recommended a fluid flush that-??s not covered by warranty. They changed fluid and I ask why it was doing this they said -?? well that-??s why we changed the fluid-?? which tells me nothing! Now the engine compartment rattle in gear and the transmission temperature after driving only 5 miles is hot enough to fry an egg on so my guess is it runs too hot and is burning or oxidation why else would it be black?

The manual park release cable has a defect to it and needs to be replaced. I the defective part causes there to be a rattle at low speeds. Some 2021 bronco sports had a recall previously issued for this part but 2022s, even though they were built with the same part, have not formally been included in the recall yet.
