The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while accelerating uphill and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed and failed to exceed 20 MPH. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the dealer refused to service the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not eligible for a buyback. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 13,470.
