We own a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport that is subject to an active safety recall involving fuel vapors/gasoline odor entering the passenger cabin. The recall remedy is currently listed as not yet available. The vehicle began emitting strong gasoline fumes through the air conditioning vents, creating a serious safety concern and rendering the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle was previously serviced at Hacienda Ford in Kingsville, Texas, in September, at which time the active safety recall was not disclosed. On December 8, 2025, we reported a gasoline odor coming from the A/C vents to the dealership. The dealership stated the concern was not covered under warranty due to mileage exceeding 60,000 miles and did not disclose the existence of the safety recall. Instead, the dealership suggested the issue could be related to a radiator coolant leak. A tow truck was dispatched to retrieve the vehicle from a workplace location. We were required to pay $86 for half of the towing cost, which we believe is improper in connection with a manufacturer safety recall. On December 15, 2025, we returned to Hacienda Ford to request a loaner vehicle or manufacturer refund due to the unresolved safety recall. We were advised that our only option was to trade in the vehicle. The dealership offered $17,000 for the trade-in and stated an additional $10,000 would be added to the cost of another vehicle due to the remaining loan balance. We refused this option due to the financial harm it would cause and requested a manufacturer buyback, at which point we were told to contact Ford Corporate. The dealership has refused to provide a loaner or rental vehicle unless approved by a service manager and has continued to offer a trade-in option that shifts the financial burden of a safety defect onto the consumer. The vehicle remains undrivable due to safety concerns, and no repair remedy is currently available. We contacted Ford Customer Relations and they referred us back to dealership

We received the recall notice NHTSA Recall Number25V467 and called both the dealer and Ford to inquire about our son's safety traveling from RI to FL and the potential safety issues related to this recall. Ford's only advice was to "hope" nothing happens before they have the parts to fix the fuel injector safety issue with no idea of the timeframe for the remedy. It is unbelievable that a company can alert customers to a known safety issue with no recommendations to ensure the safety of drivers or planned remedy. When a potential health or safety issue is identified in other industries, the product is immediately pulled from the market and customers are told to immediately discontinue the use or consumption. Why are automobile companies allowed to recommend to consumers that they continue to drive a car with a known fire risk until a remedy is in place" At a minimum Ford should offer free inspections of the impacted parts/systems to assess driving safety until a long term remedy is in place. This is at least the fourth issue with the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. I believe the fuel injector issue has had a previous recall that did not work. Ford offers no loaner cars, dealer transportation, or compensation for recall repairs causing owners added expenses and missed work time. How many recalls are allowed on a car model until the company is required to compensate owners" Regulations need to change to ensure driver safety as soon as a safety issue is identified and there should be mandatory compensation for owners that need to have a recall remedied, especially one that is reoccurring.

Hello, I wanted to share an issue I recently encountered with my car. After coming back from a hike, my car stalled and took long to start. When it finally did start, the engine light came on, and I was unable to go over 20 miles per hour. I read the code, which indicated a problem with the fuel injectors. I ended up being stranded for about 5 hours in a blizzard until I could get help. I took the car to the Ford dealership, and they diagnosed the issue as a faulty high-pressure fuel pump and sensor, both of which need to be replaced. I purchased this car in 2023, and I-??m very surprised that these components are failing so soon. This is not what I expected from a relatively new vehicle. There is a current recal for fuel injectors for my year and model but my car is not on the list.

I fear for my safety in my vehicle because it-??s been a lot of trouble since I first bought it. The vehicle reduces power and won-??t let me accelerate even though the agency said they had fixed it already, the auto stop malfunctions and messes with the vehicle-??s engine. Now that this new incident happened with the engine/gasoline that the car started shaking and just wouldn-??t turn on I am very concerned. The agency claims it was contaminated gas but I went to the gas station to file a police report and the gas at the gas station was completely fine. There was a recall on the -??fuel injectors cracking, causing gasoline or vapors to leak at a high rate onto hot surfaces in the engine compartment.-?? -nhtsa and I believe this is what might be wrong with my vehicle even though it doesn-??t come out with the vin. I drive from home to school, work, and the university everyday and I feel unsafe because the truck stutters which I am certain it has to do with a manufacturer gas tank error. I-??m not sure what can be done in this case, but I feel like my life or the life of others is in danger driving it out in the road with all the stuttering the vehicle has been doing even from months back.

Bought this car new only 10 months ago, and have had to take it in constantly. 1. Within a few weeks after purchase, the bolts came flying off the wheels while driving on the freeway causing the wheels to nearly fly off! 2. Multiple recalls for the computer system, took it in at least 3 different times, screen was blacking out and electronics went down. 3. Tail lights went completely out. 4. 3 weeks ago while driving, the Bronco completely died in the middle of a heavy traffic intersection. All doors locked me in, had to manually push vehicle to the side and call for a tow. Towed it to Ford dealer, they said the fuel system went out, they-??ve had it for 3 weeks and still don-??t know what-??s wrong with it!! I went to see the Gen Mgr, 2 employees there said I bought a lemon. GM said if I have a lemon then the whole fleets are lemons. This is a $43,000 car and I should not be having issue upon issue continually. I want them to replace my vehicle or give me a full refund! Very dangerous to drive a car that has severe safety issues!

Our brand new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport was destroyed by a spontaneous under-the-hood fire that occurred within thirty days of delivery and with less than 50 miles on the odometer. An independent examination found this consistent with a fuel injector fire. Ford Motor Company has publicly acknowledged similar problems with the Bronco Sport models and purportedly has recalled and "fixed" all effected vehicles. We notified Ford of this incident, that the production and delivery dates of our Bronco Sport were well AFTER these recalls had been completed, and that the VIN of our Bronco Sport does NOT appear on Ford's recall registry. In the overwhelming interest of public safety, we have urged Ford Motor Company to recover this vehicle and conduct its own investigation. Despite awareness and prior efforts by the Ford Motor Company to identify and correct defects in the design of the Bronco Sport, the catastrophic failure of our vehicle indicates a persistent problem and a significant ongoing consumer safety hazard. Ford Motor Company has not responded to our repeated requests and we are asking the NHTSA to conduct further inquiry.
