- Bought new 2013 Cmax energi in Oct 2013. Aug 2015 car was found with the 12v 100% electrical system dead in my garage----(Large battery pack was still fully charged). Car was hauled by tow truck into dealership. Dealer confirmed no electrical 12v power in the car. No TSBS or SSMS confirmed by dealer. Dealer replaced battery. Took it home.
2. Identical problem symptom again: Jan 23, 2017 found car with dead electrical system (12v) in my garage (large battery pack fully charged). This time I jumped the CMax battery myself. Car came to life again.
I am beginning to see a pattern here that is not resolved.

The touchscreen in the middle of the dash would say something along the lines of "powering off to save battery" as soon as I get in the car. The car would then not start or respond to anything, even the keyfob buttons. You have to wait for it to power off then hope holding the brake and mashing the start button would start the car. The battery was fully charged, so there was never any reason for this to happen other than crappy programming from the Ford engineers... which would make sense seeing how they made a HYBRID that only gets 35 combined mpg... I'd rather have a normal gas car with 28-34mpg, since shops can actually work on those without having to have hybrid specialists on the clock or without having to refer me to the expensive dealerships for any/all repairs. Seriously, where's the benefit of buying the Ford C-Max?! Terrible MPG in comparison to any other hybrid on the market, and much higher repair/maintenance costs than non-hybrid cars...
