PCV tube worn through by water pump pulley, egr line clogged causing check engine light to illuminate, vehicle lost power and dealer found failed catalytic converters which also caused the intake manifold gasket to fail, consumer states 18 months prior to this there was a manufacturer's recall(97E61) regarding catalytic converters, consumer was charged for repairs, vehicle experienced surging at idle in cold conditions, consumer sometimes lurched into traffic.
