I noticed my car slipping like crazy. i cant remember all the signs or symptoms of this. i was lucky to find a used transmission at a wholesaler for $500 and to add lifetime warranty it cost me $150 more dollars. with all the issues i have had with this car, i was more than willing to pay this $150 for a lifetime warranty. I was lucky enough to have my brother in law put my transmission in for $250 because he needed money very badly. so i got off cheap compared to most. After this was fixed it worked for over a year when i noticed some issues that had my check engine light come on. then it started slipping some mostly when taking off from a stop. But really did not act like the transmission. The mechanic changed this and that but could not find the issue. I had the car put in the shop for the transmission when we found that it was not the transmission but the flywheel. The picture that was described to me was. This round plate with little square boxes all around. well a couple of these boxes were gone. So i had a new fly wheel put in. This cost me over $500. Car has ran great since then except for the motor mounts. You will find a posting on this as well. I have also posted something in regards to fuel system.

I had just driven 30 miles. Parked my car in the grocery store, coming out, I was backing out of my spot, and it wouldn't go forward. Brought it to the transmission shop, they had to replace all the small parts in the tranny and replace the torque converter with another used one. $2300 later it was fixed. Thank you Aamco. A year and a half later, starts acting up again, the O/D light kept blinking after a couple of miles down the road, so, brought it back, they replaced a solinoid pack, but it still did this.
In Jan 2009, after my engine gave out, the shop ran a report on it saying the Torque converter needed to be replaced.

I didn't even get 100,000 miles out of the car before the transmission went out. It cost me $2000!
