On a bright, sunny, hot day, I had just left my home to go to work. While sitting at a traffic light, the wipers simply decided to take a swipe. I'm, like ??? After about 1 minute, they took another swipe. I ran the washers, they did the obligatory 3 swipes, and turned off. About a minute later, 1 more uninvited swipe. I played with the switch, and all functions worked as intended. 1 more time with the washers. About a minute later; swipe.
I ended up pulling the fuse, replacing it just during rain events. We went through a dry spell, and I decided, just out of curiosity, to replace the fuse. That was a couple of years ago, and no more wiper poltergeists. Some things just fix themselves. Go figure.
