It took them 4 days to solve the problem and they then charged me $1,051.56 including a car rental. I know the headlights would come on if you pulled the turn indicator switch since I tried that before delivering the car and my neighbor saw them turn on also.

Parking lights come on sometimes when the light switch is turned on. Headlights work fine, including brights. Parking light switch setting controls all other lights. I was told by my mechanic that the lighting control module was to fault. When the other lights (includes tail lights, tag light, front parking and side lights) don't come on, it presents an opportunity for a moving violation on the road at night. Obviously, this prevents my driving at night. The law here states that you get a ticket for an unsafe vehicle, you cannot drive the car home, the car is put in impound until you can move it to repair it. Quite a costly experience I would imagine. This was a previous police interceptor. How did they get away with it? there needs to be a recall on this lighting control module.
