The contact owns a 2008 Ford E-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a rattling noise emitted from the under carriage. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who found that the catalytic converter welding had failed and caused the pipes to fracture. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000 and the current mileage was 93,000.
