E-150 XL 4.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 171,000 miles

I have a 2014 Ford E-150 standard length cargo van with 4.6 engine and 4R75E Transmission. Torque converter started making noise at 169,000 miles. Now it is making a grinding noise at idle and reverse is doesn't work and it slips in drive. Transmission fluid is full and clean. Transmission fluid and filter were changed with Motorcraft Mercon LV and Motorcraft filters every 30k miles since new yet the transmission failed at only 171k. Right now I still owe almost $6,000 on something that's useless to me. I Have to pay over $2,500 for a rebuilt Transmission.
