dangerous front end shimmy with uneven pavement encountered Ongoing problem with frontend "death wobble" when uneven road surface is encountered or when a wheel hits a small object (Bots Dot) on the roadway. This situation occurs almost daily when driving mountain roads and curves with recessed lane markers. The dealership has seen this vehicle 4 times, says there is nothing wrong with it but did change the steering dampener when first reported in 2011. Have another appointment on 11/12/2011. Will probably end up installing (myself) a set of steering dampeners in hopes of (possibly) fixing the problem. Pray for us all..................

I, too, experienced the "death wobble. Checked w/ several dealerships over several years who stated they never heard of the situation...??? BS
Finally took it to Corning Ford in Corning, CA. They said they have fixed about 50 some odd trucks with this problem. The steering dampener had been replaced on a previous occasion by another dealership which did nothing.
Corning Ford said that they replaced several "bad" bushing and a couple of other items. Since the repair about 5 months ago the bumps that I usually hit have resulted in very minor steering wobble. The steering is a bit stiffer and that's OK cause I always felt it was rather sloppy.
DON'T LET YOU DEALERSHIPS TILL YUOU IT CAN'T BE FIXED...........IT CAN............!!
I back in love w/ my 2011, 6.7, F-350 dualie!!
Also, Corning Ford said that the factory engineers/designers allow for "5 oscillations" per bump...what ever that means. The mechanic who did the work was well aware of the problem and the fix....!!!
