The system of my car kept saying that low oil pressure and I was confused because I just got my car oil changed two weeks ago. So I went to Jiffy Lube to get my oil checked. They said it was full and that I had a mass flow light on and they stated that there was something wrong with the oil pressure due to the airflow or something, so then my car stopped on side of the road 2 minutes after I left jiffy lube. I almost got to into a wreck. Someone almost hit my car because my car was accelerating slow, so I had to pay a tow truck to take my car home then I have to pay for a mobile mechanic to come out to my house to see the issue. he said that it was, the vacuum pump, the engine oil pressure was low due to the airflow just like jiffy lube said and also the timing belt or chain tension needed to be replaced. Now I have been without a car for a week and every time I call the dealership they said that there is no parts in stock. I have also called the vehicle safety hotline 1-888-327-4236 and the number is out of service. So I don-??t know what to do. I am without a car I don-??t know how to rent a car because I don-??t have the money for it because I just paid over $600 (Tow truck, oil service and diagnosis test). I don-??t know if you guys can trade my car in for something else or give me a loaner car but something has to be done. You guys have to help me out some kind of way due to this recall. This is acceptable especially since I have to Uber my kids to and from school and daycare and I have to Uber myself to work, pick up my kids and home every day. In February, while I was driving on the interstate, I started to lose the ability to control the speed of my car. I pulled over and shut off my car. When I tried to start the car again, it wouldn't start. After I towed it home, I tried jump starting and an error message popped up stating it was the engine oil pump belt tensioner. After speaking with Ford customer service and a Service manager, I was told it could be by August before my car could be fixed.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford EcoSport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available.?The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.?The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the low oil warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the warning light illuminated five times within a five-minute drive. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately?62,000.? VIN tool confirms parts not available.

On December 07 2023 while driving off the interstate my vehicle abruptly stopped. It wouldn't accelerate at all and came out of no where. I had my kids in the car but thankfully I was close enough to their school that I was able to pull over and call a tow to take it to a dealership. That same day a service warning came up on the app that I did not see until after my car stalled on me saying there was a "Service Engine Soon Warning" On the app it stated: "The Engine Control system has detected that one of the engines internal components is not responding as expected. This can be caused by improper engine oil pressure or improperly operating engine timing components. The Engine Start/Stop feature (if equipped) may be disabled when this fault is present." The next step was: "Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer as soon as possible." It was 830 at night at this point I was not in the position to have it checked at this time but again it was towed to the dealership. At this time there had been ZERO recalls on this vehicle and I am diligent about getting my service done on it. Also I had no reason until this day to look up any issues with this vehicle but when I did I was furious to see that since September 2023 Ford has been made aware of this ongoing issue and had not issues a recall on my or other's vehicles. I am well within my 60K Powertrain warranty thankfully unlike others and my engine was replaced. I picked up my vehicle after repairs on January 03 2024. 1 Month later AGAIN while driving with my children in the car trying to get home in a snow storm my vehicle completely stopped and this time it would not budge. I could not safely get to the side of the road. I could not go in neutral it did nothing. Again it has been towed. Again the engine "has to be replaced" again the same issue is happening and it wasn't until February 23rd did I finally receive an advance notice. I am furious at the lack of safety for myself and my children in this car.

After only 6 months of purchasing a 2020 Ecosport and just after the manufacturer warranty expired, the Low Oil Pressure light came on while driving. The Engine lost power and made loud sounds. We had the vehicle towed to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the engine oil was full of metal shavings and the engine was damaged beyond repair. We had to pay for an entire new motor (over $6000). We called Ford and went to a dealership and they admitted that this was a problem with this model but said they would not help as it had just gone out of warranty. Now, we received notice that there is a recall for this exact issue, (the newly replaced motor still has the same defect part.) Ford has refused to reimburse for the motor that we had to replace, stating that there is no fix yet for the defective part. I am still making payments on the car AND now paying for the replaced motor and labor. Ford has known that this was an issue for a while. **Please hold Ford accountable to make their customers WHOLE by fully reimbursing any customers who have had out of pocket expenses (whether completed at a Ford dealership or a mechanic of their choice) as a result of this issue (regardless of warranty status).

The contact was able to drive to the shoulder. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence. On another occasion while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was driven to the local dealer, but the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that vehicle occasionally failed to start. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 73,950.

The engine oil pump dive belt tensioner arm broke, and it caused damage to the engine, causing the engine to lose engine oil pressure and causing engine damage, almost causing an accident. There were no warning or messages prior to the failure it just happened, I was driving and it happened almost causing an accident. The dealership confirmed that this was the problem that belt broke causing motor damage but the letter of the recall had not yet been received and I cannot pay for that repair.

The recalled part, the "ENGINE OIL PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSIONER ARM" broke and ended up throwing metal throughout our 2020 ECOsport engine, making it undrivable. Ford refuses to cover the costs of the repair because they are claiming it's an " advanced notice, " since they "don't have a remedy" and expect us to wait until possibly the end of June for covered repairs or we can cover the costs ourselves($8k+ rental) even though they have sent out the recall notice. The "remedy" they don't have will not fix the engine, because the recalled part has already ruined the engine.

My car loses the power and stopped suddenly. Fortunately the car behind me took the other line quickly. ( check engin light and key tool light were on). I was trying to start it. It start but checking until stops. After a while it start and I tried to go max 20 miles/hours until I was home and parks the car till now. This was 2 days ago. And as I work uber I am not working. I do have appointment tomorrow with my dealer to see what they can

[XXX] while I was driving the low oil pressure warning came on. The car lost power, made terrible loud noise. I parked. The car was towed. It-??s been sitting at James Ford Service, 100 Seymour St, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 undriveable awaiting repair. It needs an engine which is not available. 7 months they have been telling me the parts are on backorder with no etd. My safety and others safety was at risk because the vehicle lost power along with braking power when the oil pump failed. FORD had known about this problem for quite some time. I am paying my car payment, insurance, DMV, car rental expenses and no car of my own to drive. I have cancer and had major surgery in November and now have weekly chemotherapy and other doctor appointments that I struggle to have transportation to get to! They have NOT been able to repair my car and they are still lying about the parts. I cannot go on like this and they need to compensate me immediately. The recall of January 4, 2024 further allows them to have more time to lie about the issue with these vehicles. They have known and haven-??t been forthcoming whatsoever. A couple year ago I got a random pop up saying low oil pressure I pulled over immediately and started hearing a noise. I called around and got told I should tow the car to a mechanic. Then, I was told I had to get a new engine, and that was not cheap. I have also had the problem where every time I get into the car the screen turns off and says -??turning off to save battery-?? sometimes the screen turns back on and sometimes it stays off not allowing me to see navigation. Plus when this happens it sometimes turns my whole dash and air conditioning off, and I am unable to use the reverse camera. Now there was a recent recall on my vehicle for the low oil pressure warning. But I have also had multiple problems with the auto start stop function where I have to manually turn it off every time I get into the car, the reasoning is because multiple times on the road the car would not start and I would have to put the car in park and restart the car but on hills it really has a problem starting.

I was on a ramp going from one highway to another when the engine oil pressure warning came up. Within seconds after the engine started to reduce speed and the engine light came on. The Wrench light came on and the engine continued to reduce speed. I had to put my hazard lights on and try to slowly get it to the dealership that was luckily only a couple exits away. I had my 3-year-old in the back seat. The dealership reports the whole engine needs to be replaced. We are down one vehicle and have to wait for a new engine. I no longer feel safe in this vehicle and researched the car to see if others have experienced this. I just saw that there is a known engine issue now and feel my fairly new car now is worthless. Who would buy a vehicle that has a known engine issue that can put your family's safety at risk with no known repair yet. The vehicle has only over 40,000 miles on it.

We bought a car on Halloween of '22 with 13k miles. In July of '23 our engine blew to wetbelt degrading. We replaced that engine and in August of '23 it blew again due to the same issue. Replaced that engine and in Jan of '24 it happened a third time, both times lasting less than 5k miles. We have maintenaned regular maintenance on the original, and the 2 replacements never reached the maintenance schedule times. These vehicles are extremely dangerous as the motor locks up as well as the brakes. When the engine goes, it's nearly impossible to steer or even brake. These vehicles should NOT even be on the road! Even with a recall, Ford is still unwilling to even help at all. They are literally risking their customer's lives for a profit.

My car had a low oil pressure warning shortly after 60,000 miles. Shortly after, my check engine light also went on. I took my car to a Ford Dealership where they acknowledged this is a problem with the Ford Ecosport. The dealer told me that my entire engine needs replaced and it will be $6,800. Without compassion told me "there are 3 more ecosports in the back getting engines". When I inquired about the recent recall I was told they don't have to fix anything free of charge because the recall technically is not in effect. This happened on January 18th, 2024. My concerns: 1. Dealers are being unreasonable. 2. I was driving my child in this car since 2020. Ford has known since 2021 that there is a safety issue. But because no one actually died it's OK? I know the recall is coming. But I want to add my name to the list of customers who were given faulty cars that Ford knew were unsafe.

Low oil pressure light came on out of nowhere. Had it towed and they said the oil pump belt tensioner belt was damaged. Destroyed my entire engine. Had 72,000 miles. Ford is saying they won-??t pay because they don-??t know how to fix it. It is the recall issue that ford released. I need help
