Car had known recall and dealership was notified prior to this happening and I was advised that I was fine. Few months later, oil pump failed and seized engine while merging onto I40 with my 2 children in the backseat. Crash had almost happened but I was able to safely stop the vehicle and remove my kids from the smoking car. Small grass fire started under the car as the oil flooded from underneath my car but self estinguished. My car has been at the dealership for almost a month and they plan to put the same recalled part back into my car until remedy is available in November 2025. Front driver airbag also has a recall that it may not deploy if vehicle crashes which vehicle is already at risk for. There was no warning signs or symptoms.

The pressure light came on and car started shaking and lost power. Called Ford to be told parts not available to call a dealership and they said they can-??t do anything at this time or provide me with a loaner. And I have to literally have my car towed because I was stuck on the side of the highway. If this is a recall Ford or the dealership are not doing anything to help me.

On [XXX] @ 8:45 pm my vehicle was at a stop light. I started to go forward and hill assist start notification came up as vehicle turned back on from sitting idle due to the ecosport design. As slowly accelerating the wrench icon came on, check engine light came on. Vehicle lost power and speed dropped to less than 5 miles an hour. I had to floor the gas pedal to get enough speed to switch lanes and get off the road safely. I had to pay to have the vehicle towed to a dealership. This all occurs after the following previous events. On 6/25/24 my Vehicle was serviced for sporadic check engine lights that would come and go quickly. The dealership had some reprogramming done, an oil change, and a a transmission inspection. Stated all good and the vehicle was returned on Friday, June 28th. Back in April 2024 the vehicle had a similar situation with loss of power and similar warning lights. The engine was replaced due to total failure of the engine oil pump belt. This occurring when transitioning on a ramp from one highway to another. Another dangerous situation. This vehicle is not safe. I have been in the vehicle both times with [XXX]. Two major events in less than 3 months. I anticipate another total engine loss. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My daughter has informed me that the oil pressure light has come on and off and the engine starts shaking. I know the current recall they have out has to do with the oil pressure. I called Ford and explained to them what was going on and was told to call a dealership to make an appointment they said I would have to wait to get it in and they already have one and can-??t get parts to repair it yet. I was told by Ford and the dealer ship that there is nothing stating she can-??t drive it but if possible they don-??t recommend it. So I am not sure what she should do because she relies on this vehicle every day. Being it-??s a major recall should Ford have to provide a rental car until it-??s looked at.

While driving the vehicle the low engine pressure light appeared, after getting a mile down the road the vehicle came to a complete stop while still in drive and the engine had seized. It would not turn over after the fact. The vehicle was then towed to a dealership were it was diagnosed with a failed oil pump belt. Manufacturer states there is nothing they can do.

Okay, i got a letter in the mail back in February 2024, a recall letter, and as of April [XXX], 2024 we notice oil on the top on the motor and knocking noise. so we called the Dealership in Showlow Ford. Asking if the recall was due to the oil and knocking noise. So we towed the car to the dealership, and it was ck and they told us it was the recall part and that they did contact the Ford company to found out when the part will be available to replace, and replace the motor, per the ford company they said they are still working on the replacement part. They did offer rental but i cant pay second insurance and that was my car to work and getting to place, I'm still making payments and full cover insurance on it. And I dont think i can wait another 120 days or longer. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2020 Ford Eco Sport There is a recall on this vehicle: 23V905000 I discovered the recall on my vehicle on April 5, 20204. I called the Tommie Vaughn Ford dealership to schedule the service for the recall. When I asked the service valet if they had the part on hand he said he didn't know and would call back on Monday. He called back and stated, "The service manager said we are not repairing those cars unless they don't start or on the side of the road." (my appointment was canceled) On [XXX], around 11:30 pm (the vehicle seemed to start to lose pressure and then a warning light came on: oil pressure to engine low. Around five minutes later the car went black and completely shut down in the middle of the road.) The next day I called Joe Meyers Ford who stated there wasn't a recall on the vehicle yet. It was an advance notice and if I brought the vehicle in it would just sit for months until there was a real recall. Then I called Autonation Ford who said the same thing and if I brought it in they would let it sit until July when the real recall happens. I called the corporate office and spoke with an administrator (OFY). He apologized and explained they were supposed to diagnose my vehicle and if the issue was the recall, call the corporate office to get instructions on the repair. So I had my vehicle towed to Autonation Ford. The service person (David Lewis) called and stated he asked his service manager, Henry and they don't have to service my vehicle and it's just going to sit. I called the corporate office back and spoke with John who called and left a message to service my car. Then Henry (Service Manager) called and explained that the corporate office was lying to me because they were telling them not to repair the vehicles and all the Ford dealerships have cars like mine sitting on their lots. Checking engine light, oil light and tool bar light were now on. Took it back to mechanic they said I had 2 camshaft sensors that need replaced. Got the sensors replaced, car did not seem any better. Powertrain failure, low oil pressure light came on, occurred while driving 70 mph on freeway with moderate traffic my car suddenly decelerated to 35-40 mph with a semi truck behind me almost slamming into me and I couldn-??t get the car to accelerate to get the the side of road to safety. Loud engine noise now when car is on, not able to accelerate past 30-40 mph. I feel it is not drivable. All dealerships I call tell me these parts have not been made available yet through the recalls received recall letter 3/29/24 from ford notifying that we would hear when we could schedule service to address this recall. This was first I was notified of this issue and my car had this incident on 4/16/24. Ford dealerships refuse to give me a loaner or fix my car until ford provides the parts. They state they all have 4-5 forced ecosports already waiting to be serviced with same issue

on 3/30/2024 I received a message on my dashboard that "oil pressure failure" was detected. Soon after I lost power from 30mgh to 10mph. When I parked, my engine was sounding like it was knocking and then metal against metal sound. I had my car towed to the Ford dealership that I bought it from and have had it maintained there as well. I was told that the oil pump failed causing catastrophic injury to my engine requiring a new engine. My extended warranty says that there is an advanced recall on the part that failed on my 2020 Ford Ecosport, with 65,000 miles, so they will not pay for my engine to be replaced. Ford Motor has not agreed that it is there fault my engine suffered due to the failed oil pump. So, I have no car, no loaner and no fix other than paying out of pocket nearly 10,000 to replace my engine that Ford Motor may or may not reimburse for.

The vehicle had been making a noise and would occasionally lose power. I had made an appointment with Ford and had just left my home to drive the car to drop off when the oil light came on, then the check engine light and a wrench light. The car was making a terrible noise and I had to turn around. The engine was starting to smoke when I got back to my home. The car had previous issues with losing power and Ford had said this was due to a faulty temperature gauge and had replaced the temp. gauge.
