The vehicle had been making a noise and would occasionally lose power. I had made an appointment with Ford and had just left my home to drive the car to drop off when the oil light came on, then the check engine light and a wrench light. The car was making a terrible noise and I had to turn around. The engine was starting to smoke when I got back to my home. The car had previous issues with losing power and Ford had said this was due to a faulty temperature gauge and had replaced the temp. gauge.

The system of my car kept saying that low oil pressure and I was confused because I just got my car oil changed two weeks ago. So I went to Jiffy Lube to get my oil checked. They said it was full and that I had a mass flow light on and they stated that there was something wrong with the oil pressure due to the airflow or something, so then my car stopped on side of the road 2 minutes after I left jiffy lube. I almost got to into a wreck. Someone almost hit my car because my car was accelerating slow, so I had to pay a tow truck to take my car home then I have to pay for a mobile mechanic to come out to my house to see the issue. he said that it was, the vacuum pump, the engine oil pressure was low due to the airflow just like jiffy lube said and also the timing belt or chain tension needed to be replaced. Now I have been without a car for a week and every time I call the dealership they said that there is no parts in stock. I have also called the vehicle safety hotline 1-888-327-4236 and the number is out of service. So I don-??t know what to do. I am without a car I don-??t know how to rent a car because I don-??t have the money for it because I just paid over $600 (Tow truck, oil service and diagnosis test). I don-??t know if you guys can trade my car in for something else or give me a loaner car but something has to be done. You guys have to help me out some kind of way due to this recall. This is acceptable especially since I have to Uber my kids to and from school and daycare and I have to Uber myself to work, pick up my kids and home every day. Unknown. About two weeks ago my car started periodically not starting. There were no indications of an issue. The car would operate as normal now the car check engine light is on. I have taken it to the dealership knowing about the recall they stated the issue is likely caused by the recall and they will not have the part to fix it until Q3 or Q4 of this year. I have already been stuck away from home 3 times and fear the car is going to shut down while driving. I do not have a nother form of transportation for work and getting my child to school. I can not wait until the end of the year for the vehicle to be fixed and don't want to drive it and risk others safety.

It-??s been sitting at James Ford Service, 100 Seymour St, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 undriveable awaiting repair. It needs an engine which is not available. 7 months they have been telling me the parts are on backorder with no etd. My safety and others safety was at risk because the vehicle lost power along with braking power when the oil pump failed. FORD had known about this problem for quite some time. I am paying my car payment, insurance, DMV, car rental expenses and no car of my own to drive. I have cancer and had major surgery in November and now have weekly chemotherapy and other doctor appointments that I struggle to have transportation to get to! They have NOT been able to repair my car and they are still lying about the parts. I cannot go on like this and they need to compensate me immediately. The recall of January 4, 2024 further allows them to have more time to lie about the issue with these vehicles. They have known and haven-??t been forthcoming whatsoever. Sometimes when you're driving, the rear cargo door opens on its own. Sometimes it opens completely and stuff falls out. I took it to the dealership and they kept it 2 days. Since it didn't happen to them they won't do any repairs. I looked online and in the ecosport forums many people are having this problem

A couple year ago I got a random pop up saying low oil pressure I pulled over immediately and started hearing a noise. I called around and got told I should tow the car to a mechanic. Then, I was told I had to get a new engine, and that was not cheap. I have also had the problem where every time I get into the car the screen turns off and says -??turning off to save battery-?? sometimes the screen turns back on and sometimes it stays off not allowing me to see navigation. Plus when this happens it sometimes turns my whole dash and air conditioning off, and I am unable to use the reverse camera. Now there was a recent recall on my vehicle for the low oil pressure warning. But I have also had multiple problems with the auto start stop function where I have to manually turn it off every time I get into the car, the reasoning is because multiple times on the road the car would not start and I would have to put the car in park and restart the car but on hills it really has a problem starting.

My brother in law is a diesel mechanic and took a look at my car and said that if I move my car from my house my engine is ruined. He checked my oil and everything. I was driving back home at very low speeds and couldn-??t use my car right now I am paying on a car I can-??t use?! This just started 3 days ago. I called my dealership and I can-??t afford to pay for them to fix my car!! The dealership is aware of the recall but won-??t do anything until they-??re allowed too. My husband was driving when both the oil light and the engine light came on. He lost power. Thankfully he was on a road with no traffic.The oil pump is not working. The engine needs to be replaced only after 3 years. Took it to the dealership, they told him that the engine would need to be replaced. He was then told he could drive it back home, he was in a different county than what we live. We took it to a non dealership shop and they told us the same thing. Called Ford, they told me there was nothing that they could do. I have $12,549 left to pay so a trade in is out of the question. Please help

The car began to have problems going up the slightest incline with the wrench light coming on but going off when stopped. Then the oil pressure light came on. When it was in the dealership I was told I needed a new engine because the oil pump had gone out which they said had been causing the deceleration when going uphill at all. They said they were metal shavings in the engine. The car was in the shop for over 2 months. I did trade the car off while they were waiting on a engine. I had the extended warranty which covered this expense. This was a very difficult and dangerous situation.

While driving on July 31, 2023 the low oil pressure lamp appeared, loud knocking sound and loss of power occurred. I immediately pulled over, parked, and had car towed to Colma Ford, Colma, CA. The next day they left a vm saying they'll get back to me throughout the week. It probably needs an engine. This was without diagnostics. I then towed it to a reputable shop who also said it needs an engine but they don't want to do the repairs due to this engine having so many problems and the parts not being readily available. Next I towed it to James Ford, Half Moon Bay, CA where they performed diagnostics and confirmed it needs an engine. The engines, however, are on backorder with no estimation of availability. The car remains there at this time. I've had to rent a car the entire time. I bought the car in March 2023 as certified preowned with 58978 miles from Enterprise Car Sales, Redwood City, CA with a 1yr/12000 mile warranty. When breakdown occurred I had 68498 miles so it is under warranty, repairs approved, but parts not available.

Car is incessantly jumping/jerking when switch gears. The symptom is so bad it is comparable to hitting a speed bump without slowing down. Sometimes it jumps forward and seems as though you can't stop it. It happens when backing out of the driveway, putting the car in drive from reverse, putting the car in drive from park, putting the car in reverse from park, accelerating after stopping at a stop sign or a light, and more. Dealership the vehicle was purchased from has tried to fix the problem approximately 5 times. Car was at the dealership from July '22 to October '22 and problem still was not fixed. Another Ford certified dealer tried to fix it with no success.
