We really have had this noise in the front of the car since we first got it. we've had it in repeatly at the car dealership where we bought the car, in Carmi, Illinois. My husband is hard hearing and he couldn't hear it . I gripped and gripped and he didn't believe me until our daughter came to visit us and told her dad about the noise in the front. So he took it back in and they changed the wheel bearings on the drivers side. then after that they'd just tell us they couldn't hear it. We drove it to Colorado. When we got back it was loud enough they even had to say it was something. They looked but couldn't find anything so they went and changed the bearings on the drivers side. Still didn't take care of it. We moved to Georgia and the dealer there They found a problem in the transmission and changed it. The noise has now gotten worse and they decided it was the carrier bearing on the drive shaft. Guess what...the noise is still there. Meanwhile it has for some time had intermediate times of starting and not starting. It did it to a mechanic today but has no idea because it don't give a code. We have had so much trouble with this car we will never buy another Ford. It has 80,000 miles on it by now and every time we get into it to go someplace we don't know if it is going to get us killed by the front end falling apart. We kept hoping someone else would have the same problem and ford could fix it. Our daughter had a Toyato and has over 300.000 miles on it with very little trouble.
