"Quality" that is Fords Motto! I believe the 6 CD systems should last longer than 72000 miles. I even bought an extended warranty which I believe was a rip off which has ended. So now I am stuck having to replace it out of my pocket because the warranty is up. They will fix it at a cost. I think they should stand by their supposedly "Quality"products and replace this player for Free.
I have seen Many reports with Ford 6 CD changers having the same problem on the Web. It seems everything you buy these days is "Junk" sold for outrageous fortune! It seems Ford would think with its great "Quality Motto" that when you have faulty products they should replace the Product at their cost and shouldn't keep putting these products back in their Cars and Trucks For other Customers to have to deal with. Soon they will lose the trust of the Customer and who will look elsewhere for their next vehicle purchase!
