We are told by local Florida Ford dealer that they have thousands of customers waiting for the parts on the Takata airbag recall. We have been waiting and waiting. Their advice was to have all passengers sit in the back seat until the recall repairs are made. I hear that humid states are supposed to get the parts and the problem fixed first, and then I am told 44% of cars have been recalled and fixed nationally or even world-wide. Then why not our cars in central Florida? If we were to be among the first to be fixed, we should have been done by now!

I've stopped a several Ford dealerships in different cities to ask for repair. None of them had parts and all said 'too bad' you will just have to wait for the second recall notice. I would like to sell the car and buy a new one, but it may not be a Ford Edge due to this issue. There should be a time limit on recalls to force the manufacturer to comply with safety standards. I drive a lot for work, and I fear if an accident occurs, the air bag may cause more injury that the crash.
