Takata recall was issued June 1, 2016 and the parts are still not available. The manufacturer is taking way too long to provide replacement parts. I have contacted every dealership within 50 miles and none of them have replacement parts. The NHTSA search also indicates that no replacement is available yet. This is extremely unsafe and a replacement needs to be issued immediately.

Takata recall - I just checked the status online to see if there's been any new updates and there hasn't. it's going on a year and the parts are still not available is what I'm being told when I call Ford. This is ridiculous! we're taking about an airbag which is pretty [xxx] important to have. To have to have people sit in the backseat is a huge inconvenience especially if you need all the available seating in the car for your family. Other vehicles with the same issues have been fixed months ago why are Ford customers still waiting "!"!! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

On July 2016, I received a recall notice for passenger frontal air bag defect. I decided to call on to get an update on Feb 22,2017 to my dealer greenway Ford. They said the parts are not in yet. I told manager I was concerned since my line of work is to drive customers in my car. I asked for rental. He said to call Ford Motor Company. I did and before I got a representative on line, the recording played that not only may death and injury result from malfunction but other passengers may get injured as well. When I spoke to someone about my concern all he could do is continue to tell me that they don't provide rental cars and I would have to wait until part came in. I want to file complaint because I do not want to wait around for even myself as driver get injured or possibly die.

Ford Edge recall on airbags was first issue on June 1st, 2016. It is no February 2nd, 2017, which is 8 months later, and no further information on fixing this defect has been mailed to us by Ford. This is an excessive amount of time to remedy their defect so I'm placing a complaint for lack of responsiveness by Ford.

Takata recall -- we were notified of this recall back in June of 2016 and each time I've called or checked online to see if there is an issue, I'm told there are no parts, yet. This is rather serious because I'd rather the problem not show itself while I'm driving with my wife in the passenger seat. It's really something that needs to be taken care of immediately. From my understanding, the reason for the recall is because of shrapnel in the passenger airbag. I don't want to have an accident in order to find out if my vehicle is affected by this. A fix needs to be found immediately or my vehicle needs to be replaced with one that doesn't have this problem because my vehicle is unsafe to drive with passengers until it's done.

Takata recall: Hello, I am submitting my second complaint on behalf of my daughters car which has a passenger seat air bag recall. I keep seeing on nbc nightly news as well as others that the cars that will be getting air bags replaced first are those in the South where its hot and humid. This weather is not good for these recalled air bags. Well my daughter goes to college in gainesville Florida where its 100 degrees and 90% humidity in the summers. She has already spent a summer up there with the recalled air bag and is going to spend another summer there working. We are very concerned for her safety as well as her young adult passengers. College students always have multiple passengers in their cars and this worries me so much. The safety of her friends is in jeopardy. Just because its her car doesn't mean she is not a passenger in her own car. There are many times someone else was driving and she is now the passenger. Please, please, please see what you can do to expedite the repair of the passenger air bag in her car. She lives in an area that is supposed to have these air bags already repaired. This coming July will be 1 yr since we received the recall letter. I am afraid that a law suit will be coming when someone gets injured as I have submitted multiple complaints as well as many many phone calls to Ford and NHTSA. It should not be taking this long especially where the car is. I hope to be receiving the letter in the mail that her new air bag is ready to be installed and to take it to the nearest Ford dealer. Thank you very much for hearing me.... sincerely, a very worried father for her daughters safety.
