We bought this vehicle a week ago. Every time we park in the garage there is a strong gas smell but no sign of leaking gas under the vehicle. 2008S were recalled for leaking seam in fuel tank but this one is not?

It started stalling, and losing power while driving. When the ac is turned on it started driving rough at low speeds but when the ac is off it runs rough at high speeds. The throttle body seems to beessed up it now runs rough and idles rough. It's almost like it doesn't have the correct fuel to air ratio.

2009 Ford Edge AWD 80K miles strong gas smell and evidence of leak seen in driveway prompted visit to mechanic. Leak discovered coming from corroded seam of fuel tank on passenger side. No check engine light ever alerted me that there was a problem. Internet search revealed fuel tank recall of 128,000 Ford Edge and Lincoln mkx cars built at Oakville assembly plant between September 1th, 2008 through July 1st, 2010. My car was built at that plant at that time but I was never informed of the recall.(fomoco recall number: 15S31) I called Ford and they said my car was not included in the recall.

I can smell fuel coming from the rear of the car. Sometimes it leaks enough to leave stains on the street. Took it to metro Ford of Oklahoma city and they said my car was not included in any type of recall. After reading about the recall Ford issued on many previous models, I feel that my problem is being avoided and they aren't concerned about my family's safety. Very upset. Why is my gas tank leaking fuel?

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 180,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

I can smell gas at the rear of my car. I had my struts serviced and the mechanic noticed corrosion and a fuel leak.he didn't want to drop the tank to get a closer look fr fear it would void a recall repair. I checked for a recall and noted there was one for certain 2009 Edge's but my VIN didn't show one.

"takata recall" I have been calling since June to get my car repaired. I was given a case number and then never contacted. I have called the 2 dealerships in Colorado springs and was told they would get me in a rental car and yet they never have. I have called them every week and continue to get the same response stating they are working on it. I have called Ford motor since June as well and get the exact same response. The airbag light on the vehicle is now on and I have a child that I will not put in this car as it has a recall on it. I have told the dealership about the light and they stated they will contact me when a rental is available.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Ford Edge. The contact received two notifications for NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V712000 (fuel system, gasoline) and 17V024000 (air bags). The dealer (wayne Ford, 444 us-46, wayne, NJ 07470, (973) 256-8800) indicated that the repair parts were unavailable. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect for NHTSA campaign number: 15V712000 (fuel system, gasoline) and VIN tool confirms parts not available for NHTSA campaign number: 17V024000 (air bags). Consumer stated the fuel propulsion system (pws) 140000 air bags. Vehicle purchase dated should be on or before incident date, purchase date 10/21/17 incident date 10/26/15 updated 10/15/18

I received a letter from Ford about Nov/Dec 2017 advising me of the recall issues for my vehicle. I have not been able to speak to a Ford customer service rep, and my dealer nor the finance company know what to do. I received a more recent letter from Ford with options and stating that the parts required are still not available. I need to speak to someone because I am afraid of all the recall issues surrounding my vehicle. I keep the maintenance up on my vehicle but I have been experiencing safety issues while driving, like my vehicle threatens to stop for no apparent reason while I'm driving it. I can't afford to continually pay for repairs or even just be without my vehicle because I'm the only income for my family!

Driving home after I picked up the kids from school. I had a strong smell of gasoline in the cabin of my car. We were cr 108 not even a mile from my dirt road (willie hodges rd) I rolled down the windows, I have 3 kids, and made it home. I saw there was a recall on some 2009-2010 Edges for faulty gas tanks. I looked up the VIN and the only recall I have on my car is for air bags, which they have yet to resolve. I have a feeling my Edge was installed a faulty fuel tank.

I have a 2009 Ford Edge that has had a strong odor of gas. I have it in the repair shop and I am being told that there is a hole/leak in the seal to the gas tank. There has been a recall for this same problem on 07 and 08 Ford Edge. The cost to repair this is going to be $1800 which would include tank, O ring and gasket. I would like to know if my 2009 Ford Edge can be placed on a recall for this problem. Keep smiling [xxx] updated 10/06/15 information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

We were smelling gasoline in our garage and the smell was coming from car. The car was taken to a local shop where it was hoisted and a gasoline leak discovered at the "seam" of my gas tank. We were instructed to return the car to the dealership as it may have a recall and was clearly a manufacturer defect. My husband called avis Ford who in fact instructed us to bring the car in. We had the car towed at our expense of over $80 only to get to the dealership and have them say there was an error and that the 2009 Edge did not have a recall. There have been recalls on tanks on models from 2007 up to 2014 but apparently not the 09. The leak is apparently a manufacturer defect and not caused by damage to the tank from a foreign object striking it. It is terribly frightening to me to know that Ford has not stepped up to the plate and maybe only a fatality would force them to so. I travel daily with a 30 month and 17 month old in my car and cannot imagine having to get them both out of 5 point restraint car seats in the event of a fire. Is this what Ford is waiting for to acknowledge the unacceptable danger of a gas tank leak. A recall needs to be issued in order to save lives.
