The replacement wheel hubs weren't hard to replace since it is only a front wheel drive vehicle, but, the rub is with the wheel ABS system sensors that were shipped with the new hubs, they don't work. They are too deep and the wire tails with connectors are side specific and as a result, my ABS system is inoperative and the dash warning lite is obviously lit. Multiple calls to parts stores has resulted in NO HELP. So, if you choose aftermarket parts in this case, you will be out of luck with your ABS. Ford wheel replacement hubs were twice the cost of aftermarket hubs. Both hubs bearings going out should be an indication that Ford did something wrong. The car has been a very nice car and the wheel hubs have spoiled it for me.

Being that this car is a 2009, i expected it to drive like a broken in vehicle. The roaring made me not want to drive the car. You couldn't hear the radio or anyone talking in car. When I took it to have it repaired to what I thought was the tires, it didn't work. I replaced all the tires costing over $1200.00 dollars and the roaring got louder. I took it to another dealer who found it to be the wheel bearings. I am so disappointed that the hubs and wheel bearings went bad so soon. In reading the complaints at the other ford dealerships, I found out that this is a problem for the edge crossover and I feel it should be a recall on them to get a better system going. Once the wheel bearings were fixed, the sensor light came on and that's causing another $200.00 to fix. Ford has never had such bad mishaps on vehicles before and I am very displeased with this one. I love my car but being a devoted member to ford, there should have been more of a way to help those who purchase this car out. No insurance will cover it. So what can we do? Somebody tell me what to look out for next. Do I trade it in since its paid for and get a buick or what?
